I sent my new puppy to Bar T Kennels and feel they were worth every penny. I think I was most impressed with how committed they were to getting the training right no matter how long it took. I paid for the four week program and they kept him for 5 and a half weeks because they did not want to send him home until he was truly trained. When he came home he was great but started struggling in his crate. After trying their suggestions, big dog academy took him back for two more weeks of crate and potty training. He is back now and doing much better. When they say they guarantee their work, they mean it. Could not be happier and totally trust these guys to do what it takes to get your dog trained.

I have sent my GSD mix dog to Bar T Kennels 4x now. Each about a week long. Wayne (the owner) is so knowledgeable and friendly and I can tell how much he cares about my Calvin. Wayne is awesome with his communication and is willing to answer any questions or concerns I have about training even when Cal is just being boarded. I feel so lucky to have found a place that loves my dog as much as I do.

Wayne and his team are magic. They provided our pup with emotional support training, which definitely shows. Our biggest concern going into this (apart, of course, from the natural worry of overall safety), was if the training would take away her sweetness. Those fears were not realized — she is still just as sweet and eager to be friends with every person she meets, but now with an increased abilty to follow directions and respect boundaries. All that and tremendously affordable to boot.

“The patience shown to her helped me know that I had made a great choice sending her. A few days later, Wayne sent me a pic of her meeting one of their feral cats & not chasing after it. I was amazed! My husband & I were convinced they had replaced her with some kind of alien dog race. This couldn’t be Phoebe. But sure enough it was! Wayne & his team did a great job with Phoebe. Like any training, it still requires the owner do a lot of reinforcement & consistent effort when the dog returns. Just like people, it’s easy for dogs to return to their old habits. The first day Phoebe got home, she refused to sit for me. She was great at sitting before she left. However she was not great at understanding our relationship as leader and dog. Wayne was great at sending me several “return to home” videos & I had watched all of them. Following Wayne’s instructions, I was finally able to help Phoebe understand I loved her & was the leader of our relationship. After a few moments of working with her, she sits beautifully. Phoebe has been home for about 8 months now & is doing great! She has even been back to Bar T kennels for boarding (another great perk when you get your dog trained there.) Thank you Wayne & Team for helping me continue to work with this amazing dog!”
